Some Dorset Street Flats trivia!
On a recent visit to his home at Ohinetahi, Banks Peninsula, Sir Miles Warren showed us this 1950's Scandinavian sofa bench. The seat was originally part of the furnishings of Sir Miles' flat at 4 Dorset Street, and can be seen quite prominently in the two interior photographs of the flat taken in 1958. He took the piece with him when he moved to his new home (and office of Warren & Mahoney) at 65 Cambridge Terrace, as seen in a close look at the two interior photographs from 1965. Reupholstered, the seat now resides in a sunny corner of a small sitting room at Ohinetahi.
